About Flower Mound Lacrosse

Welcome to Flower Mound Lacrosse! Our Mission...

Flower Mound Lacrosse Association (FMLA) is a community based lacrosse program that is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity and non-profit organization dedicated to fostering and promoting a safe, disciplined, respectful, and team-oriented program where boys  and girls (1st - 12th grade) can learn the fundamentals of lacrosse, develop skills to be competitive in the game, as well as build the essential characteristics of good sportsmanship along with strong character.

Denton County residents has voted Flower Mound Lacrosse the Best Lacrosse Association in Denton County every year since 2013!

Anna Claire Kristynik selected to UA150!

Congratulations to Flower Mound Sophomore midfielder Anna Claire Kristynik on being selected to the Under Armour 150! Those selected to the UA150 are the top players for their graduation year and invited to participate in the Under Armour 150 Premier Girls' Lacrosse Recruiting Combine!

FMLA Float at 32nd Annual Flower Mound Christmas Parade

Thanks to our FMLA athletes for helping to spread holiday cheer at the 32nd Annual Flower Mound Christmas Parade! They designed and decorated the float and shared their love for lacrosse with the community at the event on December 4th.

FMLA HS Boys Win Big at TurLaxin' Tournament!

Congratulations to the FM Lacrosse High School Boys who participated in the TurLaxin' Tournament! JV went 3-1 and Varsity went 4-0 and won the D2 Championship! Nice way to wrap up the season!

 

 

 

 

 

 


FMLA High School Boys Help Out at The Shiloh Field Community Garden

The High School Boys team participated in a community service project on September 25th at The Shiloh Field Community Garden on! Shiloh Field grows and harvests fresh fruits and vegetables to provide to those in need in our community. So proud of these boys for giving back!


FMLA Youth Boys Participate in Playday for Lovepacs Lewisville

It was a great day for lacrosse and Lovepacs Lewisville was the big winner at the boys’ youth playday in Frisco held on September 25th! Flower Mound Lacrosse along with Frisco Lacrosse and McKinney Lacrosse joined forces to donate enough food to feed over 150 students who might otherwise go without during school holidays. Flower Mound took home the pumpkin trophy this year with the most donations!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

FMLA RETURN TO PLAY GUIDANCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

For Players and Families

  1. Players over 18 or Parent Guardians for Players under 18 must sign and return the Waiver/Release for Communicable Diseases Including COVID-19 to participate.
  2. Children participating in youth sporting events or practice should minimize in-person contact with any person 65 years of age or older, especially those with pre-existing health conditions, for a period of 14 days. This includes maintaining social distancing of at least 6 feet of separation from those individuals, wearing a face covering or mask, and avoiding sharing utensils or other common objects with those individuals.
  3. Players will be symptom-screened prior to each activity – this will also serve as an attendance list. All are clear to play if not symptomatic, able to perform at prior levels, and screen negative on all screening questions.
  4. Players should stay home if they are feeling sick, experiencing or have come in contact with someone with any of the following symptoms*:
    1. Sore throat
    2. Cough
    3. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    4. Fever of 100.3 degrees F/37.9 degrees C
    5. Chills
    6. Muscle pain

*This is not an exhaustive list of possible symptoms. Other less common symptoms have been reported, including gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

  1. All players, coaches, and spectators are required to respect social distancing at all times. Some examples include:
    1. Remaining 6 feet apart during water breaks
    2. Refraining from being in groups of more than 10 people
    3. No handshakes or tight huddles
  2. Coaches are encouraged to wear a mask.
  3. Players must provide their own water.
  4. No sharing of equipment, water bottles or towels.
  5. Players must arrive at practice in pads and equipment.
  6. All players and families are to cooperate with needs/asks of coaches/organizers.

For Coaches & Staff

  1. Every coach and staff member will be symptom-screened prior to each activity. All are clear to play if not symptomatic, able to perform at prior levels, and screen negative on all screening questions.
  2. Coaches and staff are encouraged, but not required, to wear a mask. 
  3. Coaches and staff must adhere to social distancing at all times.
  4. Coaches and staff are to be screened prior to each practice/event.
  5. Coaches and staff with any COVID-19 symptoms must be at least 14 days postpositive test, with a minimum of 72 hours symptoms free and negative repeat COVID-19 test in order to return. Individuals require clearance from a licensed medical professional before return to play granted.
  6. Coaches are to avoid planning and using contract drills. Drills should focus on stick skills, passing, catching, footwork and conditioning.
  7. Coaches and/or staff will take attendance using the COVID Attendance list, and any player affirmatively responding to any of the questions, will not be allowed to participate and asked to leave.
  8. Coaches will plan practices, scrimmages and warmup, being cognizant of spacing required for groups and teams.
  9. Coaches and/or staff will limit intermingling between groups during practices, teams between games and group congregating between games.
  10. Coaches and/or staff will ensure adequate space between the water and personal equipment of each player so that physical distancing of 6-10 feet can be maintained during breaks.
