Helmet Policy

Beginning in the Fall of 2011, Cascade ORANGE helmets shall be worn by the Flower Mound high school teams and Only worn by the high school players on JV and Varsity. The High School Steering Committee and Board of Directors believe the high school program is a very important part of our organization and players work towards the privilege to wear the orange helmet.

The youth program helmets will remain WHITE.  While this has never been an issue in the past, the proliferation of youth lacrosse travel teams requiring their own uniforms, including helmets, has led the Flower Mound Lacrosse Board of Directors to adopt a formal policy requiring that all youth players wear their white helmets at Flower Mound youth lacrosse games. The Board believes this is important in promoting team unity and Flower Mound lacrosse.

The Board of Directors understands that we will have youth players who will join our organization that have played elsewhere and whom may have a helmet other than white.  We understand the cost associated with lacrosse equipment and will give leeway until it is feasible for the purchase of a white helmet.

Failure to comply with our policy is a direct violation of the Flower Mound Lacrosse Code of Conduct.
